Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 28, 2026

1. Introduction

View Vault ("Application") is operated by Vinyl Vault, an LLC registered in the State of Washington, United States ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using View Vault, you agree to the practices described here and to our Terms of Service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information — your name, email address, and profile details provided when you create an account, including through Google or Apple sign-in.
  • Content you create — your watch lists, viewing history, collections, ratings, and items you share with others.
  • Payment information — subscription and billing details, processed by our payment provider. We do not store your full card number.
  • Usage information — how you interact with the Application, such as pages visited and features used, to help us improve the service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve View Vault.
  • Authenticate your account and keep it secure.
  • Process subscriptions, free trials, and payments.
  • Send service emails, such as account notices and trial or subscription reminders.
  • Respond to your questions and support requests.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Third-Party Services

View Vault relies on a small number of trusted third-party services to operate. These providers process your information only as needed to perform their function:

  • Authentication — sign-in and account management, including Google and Apple single sign-on.
  • Payments — Stripe processes subscription payments on our behalf.
  • Email delivery — transactional emails are sent through an email delivery provider.
  • Movie and TV data — title information, artwork, and metadata are provided by services such as TMDB. Your searches are sent to these services to return results; they do not receive your account identity.

5. Cookies and Sessions

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to operate the Application securely. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

6. Sharing Features

If you use sharing features, the lists or recommendations you choose to share become visible to anyone with the share link. You control what you share and can stop sharing at any time.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the address below; we will delete your information except where retention is required by law (for example, billing records).

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

View Vault is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

10. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. You can view and update most account information directly in the Application, or contact us to exercise these rights.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes, and continued use of the Application constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
